On Thursday 24 May Marianne Ailes and Ad Putter from the Departments of French and English at Bristol University will speak on ‘The French of medieval England’ at 5.15 pm in LR1 behind nos 3-5 Woodland Road [at Bristol University].
This event will be the sixth in our series of twelve seminars exploring the use of French across Europe. The series is part of our AHRC-funded project on the history of the French language in Russia.
This seminar should be of interest to medievalists from across the faculty as well as to linguists. It will be conducted in English.
